As a junior in High School, Ann’s guidance counselor advised her to take secretarial courses and marry her boss.  A mere three years later, she returned to the same high school for the adult education night courses, which happened to be supervised by that same guidance counselor.

He remarked, as she walked into the school building, that he was glad she took his advice.

Smiling sweetly, she responded, “No Sir, I am teaching one of your courses.”.

At the age of 20, Ann held a degree in Business Administration and owned a business with 13 part-time employees.  She later sold the business to manage a mid-size law firm in New York.

Ann went on to work for American Express in New York and Boston. She then left the corporate world to join the New York City Police Department. Ann retired from the NYPD injured in the line of duty.

Ann moved to South Carolina on Superbowl Sunday, 2001. It was there she helped form the Beaufort TEA Party, which she continues to run to this day. Active in local and state politics, Ann started Southern Sense Podcast in 2010.  The show features well know celebrity politicians, political and social experts, actors, musicians, and various activists.

Southern Sense Podcast is informative, funny, and down to Earth; you never know what you’re in for, but you’ll enjoy the journey.
